RoK Prime Minister visits Karachaganak

Aksai. September 5. KazTAG- Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin as part of a working trip to the Western Kazakhstan Oblast has visited the Karachaganak oil and gas condensate field and received updates on the performance of Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO).
During the trip the Head of the RoK Government was accompanied by the RoK Vice Prime Minister, Ministers  of National Economy, Industry and Infrastructure Development, Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources,  and also by Akim of the West Kazakhstan Oblast Gali Iskaliyev.
As part of the visit the high-ranking officials met with KPO top management to discuss the key issues of the Karachaganak Field plateau extension projects’  implementation and KPO’s contribution into social and economic development of the region. They also visited the  Control Room of the Karachaganak Processing Complex (KPC).
During the meeting, the RoK Prime-Minister Askar Mamin and KPO General Director Edwin Blom discussed the KPO production plans in view of the state objectives for long-term sustainable development.  “KPO consistently achieves good production while focusing on industrial safety, labour, environmental protection and local capacity development.”
“As of today, KPO’s Partners have invested more than $25 billion into the development of Karachaganak field.”
“In developing the Karachaganak project, KPO has utilised leading production and hydrocarbon processing technology to enhance hydrocarbon recovery and ensure the maximum economic return for the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Partners”, added Edwin Blom.
At the end of the visit, the Prime Minister highly commended the KPO’s work and wished all company’s employees a continued success in the development of the Karachaganak project.
