Matayev congratulated the journalists on creation of a new branch - city branch of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan and election of Uali Kadyr as a chairman of the branch, who currently heads Shymkent branch of Kazakhstan TV channel. The journalists have assigned the tasks of the new branch in compliance with the requirements for the public union, they also discussed the freedom of speech and protection of journalists' rights, performance of professional ethics by mass media, TV and radio workers, and also by users of social networks, especially on the backdrop of development of new technologies in the journalism field.
The heads of editorials, representatives of the service of communications of city akimat, branch of Nur- Otan shared their experience of interaction with people, activists of civil society in order to reveal the problems and settle social issues. Journalists made a number of proposals to the executive authorities in order to improve the image of the mega-city, and drew attention to the support of reporters and their families in the frameworks of ongoing social programs in the field of housing.
