About 3 million Russians arrived in Kazakhstan since the beginning of the year

Astana. December 14. KazTAG - About 3 million Russians have arrived in Kazakhstan since the beginning of the year, said Ilyas Ispanov, Chairman of the Committee on Migration of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Kazakhstan.
“Since the beginning of the year, about three million Russians have come for various issues, for various activities. About the same number of our people has left. Since the announcement of partial mobilization in Russia, 837 thousand people have arrived in our country, 780 thousand have left. Today, for various reasons, 298 thousand Russian people are staying in the country. 30 thousand people work in accordance with contracts registered in the electronic labor exchange and have registration, a place of temporary residence. There are about 20,000 students studying in Kazakhstan,” Ispanov said at a briefing.
He noted that almost 130 thousand Russians were in transit in Kazakhstan.
“There are also people who fly to us and fly away in transit. For example, since September 21, approximately 128,000 Russians have used our country as a transit country and left for the country where they planned to leave. But in fact, every year 240-250 thousand Russians come in Kazakhstan for various reasons,” he added.
