Astana. February 16. KazTAG - 6.5 thousand km of roads are planned to become tolled by the end of 2021 in Kazakhstan, said Beibut Atamkulov, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan.
"By the end of the year, it is planned to bring 90% of republican roads and 76% of local roads to a good and satisfactory condition, with the introduction of toll charges for 6.5 thousand km and bringing the road service corresponding to the National Standard to 66%," said Atamkulov.
In addition, it is planned to increase transit by rail to 23.1 million tons or by 12%, including to increase the transit of containers to 1 million TEU (twenty-foot equivalent).
