We are not telling Kazakhstan to choose Russia or China - Cameron

Astana. April 25. KazTAG - The British Foreign Secretary gave an extended comment during his visit to Kazakhstan, reports the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
“I would like to make a broader comment about this visit to the Central Asian republics that I am making this week. And it is that we are not telling Kazakhstan or any other country that you have to make a choice, or that we are asking you not to make a choice in favor of partnership and trade with Russia or with China or with anyone else,” said Cameron.
Cameron stressed that he arrived because he believes that Kazakhstan should have the opportunity to choose a partnership with the UK in a way that would have a positive impact on both shared security and shared prosperity.
“As we noted, you are located in a vitally important region neighboring Russia, China, Iran and Afghanistan. There are many global challenges here that we discussed. And it is important for us that the UK is here and says that it wants to be your partner in the development of education, a partner in the fight against climate change, a partner in business development, a partner in providing young people with new opportunities for self-realization in your country,” said minister.
