More than 13.5 thousand foreigners worked in Kazakhstan as of April 1

Astana. April 25. KazTAG – More than 13.5 thousand foreigners worked in Kazakhstan as of April 1, reports the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.
“As of April 1, 2024, 13,536 foreigners are working in Kazakhstan with permits from akimats: 605 managers and their deputies, 2,793 heads of structural divisions, 5,914 specialists and 570 skilled workers. 2,458 people were hired for seasonal work, and 1,196 people were hired as part of corporate transfers,” reports the statement.
The main countries of origin of labor migrants: China - 4011 people or 30%, Uzbekistan - 1577 or 12%, India - 1187 or 9%, Turkey - 1058 people or 8%.
