Deputy believes teaching chemistry of physics in English at schools is ineffective

15.11.2017 Astana. November 15. KazTAG - Majilis deputy, attorney for children's rights Zagipa Baliyeva, believes the Ministry of Education and Science must reconsider the teaching system in the English language.
"Today I see several problems which must attract the attention of the Ministry of Education and Science. Children are discussing teaching of such subjects as chemistry, physics and biology. When a child does not understand and digests only 12% of the subject, how will they understand it in the English language? It means they will understand less," said Z. Baliyeva at the session of coordination council for interaction with NGOs under the Ministry on Religions Affairs and Civil Community.
"May be we should talk to children and find out which subjects should be taught in English? So that children could speak English and understand," she added.
Z. Baliyeva proposed to teach Russian and Kazakh literature in English.
"In this case, probably, they will understand and speak. These formulas, the Om's laws won't be useful in life. We do not prepare many technicians. Probably only 5%," she concluded.
