Kazakhstani athletes have won 13 licenses for winter Olympic Games in South Korea

14.11.2017 Astana. November 14. KazTAG - Kazakhstani athletes have won 13 licenses for the winter Olympic Games 2018 in South Korean PyeongChang, said Arystanbek Mukhamediuly, Minister of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan.
"We have won 13 licenses on two types of sports: biathlon- 10 and figure skating- three. Due to successful performance of Kazakhstani figure skater Elizabeth Tursunbayeva, aged 17, at the World championship in Helsinki, two figure skaters from Kazakhstan will perform at the Olympiad for the first time," he said at the session.
Denis, Ten, bronze winner of winter Olympic Games 2014 in Sochi, has got the third license for skating at the Olympiad. Kazakhstani biathletes have won 10 licenses for the games ahead of schedule.
62 Kazakhstani athletes on 9 types of sports pretend for the licenses. Formation of the Olympic team will last until January next year.
"Kazakhstani team on winter types of sports will take part in the international qualification competitions. A group of coaches and trainers has been formed, contracts have been concluded with the leading athletes and coaches. All the athletes are the citizens of Kazakhstan. 15 foreign trainers-consultants have been attracted," he added.
